Three firefighters received minor injuries as they sought to contain a blaze at a paper production factory in Al-Ahsa on Thursday. A Civil Defense spokesman said that the fire gutted a factory area of 5,000 square meters and three neighboring pre-fabricated housing units. “Ten fire crews were required to control the situation,” the spokesman said. “We are still trying to establish the cause of the fire and assess the extent of the damage.” Three firemen received treatment for smoke inhalation and heat exhaustion.
