Qualifier Russell stuns top seed Fish

Qualifier Michael Russell stunned top seed Mardy Fish 6-3, 6-1 Thursday, thrilling his hometown fans as he booked a quarter-final berth at the ATP Tour US Men's Clay Court Championship.
Russell, a 33-year-old who lives in Houston, booked his first tour-level quarterfinal of 2012. He'll face 19-year-old fellow American Ryan Harrison, a 6-2, 6-4 winner over Russian Igor Kunitsyn.
Second-seeded John Isner, playing his opening match after a first-round bye, rallied to beat Horacio Zeballos of Argentina 6-7 (3/7), 6-4, 6-2.
Isner, ranked 10th in the world, is seeking a first career clay court title. He next faces defending champion Ryan Sweeting, A 6-3, 6-2 winner over fellow American Bobby Reynolds.
Fifth seed Kevin Anderson of South Africa defeated American Sam Querrey 7-6 (7-3), 3-6, 7-6 (7-2) to reach the quarterfinals.
Anderson next faces fourth-seeded Juan Monaco of Argentina. Monaco defeated Japan's Tatsuma Ito 6-3, 6-3.
Wozniacki in semifinals
In Copenhagen, top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark breezed into the semifinals of the e-boks Open Friday by beating France's Alize Cornet 6-0, 6-3.
Wozniacki will next face Croatia's Petra Martic who beat Bojana Jovanovski of Serbia 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.
Third-seeded Jelena Jankovic of Serbia defeated Estonia's Kaia Kanepi 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 to set up a semifinal against Germany's Angeligue Kerber.
Kerber appeared to be in bad shape after being blanked in the second set by countrywoman Mona Barthel but bounced back to win 6-2, 0-6, 7-5.
Errani, Suarez in last 4
In Barcelona, Sara Errani of Italy beat second-seeded Julia Goerges of Germany 6-2, 6-3 on Friday to reach the Barcelona Open semifinals.
The Italian will face Carla Suarez Navarro, who beat Simona Halep of Romania 6-4, 6-1.
In the other semifinal, third-seeded Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia will play Sorana Cirstea of Romania after they both rallied from a set down to advance.
Cibulkova dominated the last two sets to beat Yuliya Beygelzimer of Ukraine 3-6, 6-0, 6-0, while Cirstea overcame Olga Govortsova of Belarus, 2-6, 6-1, 6-3.
Andujar in semis
In Casablanca, third-seeded Pablo Andujar of Spain won two matches in a day Friday to reach the semifinals of the Grand Prix Hassan II.
Andujar first defeated Potito Starace of Italy 6-3, 6-0 in a second-round match that had been delayed by rain, and then ousted fellow Spaniard Sergio Gutierrez-Ferrol 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 in the quarterfinals. Gutierrez-Ferrol had beaten Algeria's Lamine Ouahab 6-4, 6-1 in another delayed second-round match earlier.
Andujar will next play Flavio Cipolla of Italy, who beat Benoit Parie of France 6-3, 6-4.
Seventh-seeded Albert Ramos of Spain also advanced by defeating Jeremy Chardy of France, 6-3, 6-4. He will next face Igor Andreev of Russia, who beat Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain, 6-4, 6-2.
