Members of a Japanese delegation visit the SEHAI Diraiya campus as part of a cultural exchange program between the Kingdom and Japan. — Courtesy photo JEDDAH — Ten young Japanese men, together with officers from the Saudi General Presidency of Youth Welfare and the Embassy of Japan in Riyadh, visited the SEHAI Diraiya campus recently as part of a cultural exchange program between the Kingdom and Japan. The program started after King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, visited Japan in 1998. During the visit, the Japanese delegation observed SEHAI students studying a Japanese-standard curriculum in the fields of electronics, home appliances, airconditioners, PC and office equipment. Eng. Konishi, a Japanese expert from the Nippon Engineering College in Hachioji, Japan, said that SEHAI is a model technical institute in the Kingdom. After the tour, the Japanese delegation and SEHAI students held a meeting during which they exchanged questions and observations, and deepened their understanding of each other's culture. According to the cultural attaché from the Embassy of Japan, the delegation members were very impressed with the politeness of the SEHAI students and their diligence in training as well as their safety awareness.
