director of company affairs DHAHRAN - Saudi Aramco has appointed Khaled Al-Buraik as its new executive director of company affairs, effective July 2008. Al-Buraik has served Saudi Aramco for 21 years. He joined the company as a petroleum engineer in the drilling and workover engineering division in 1987. Between 1990 and 1991, he joined Exxon in the US, on a developmental assignment and served as a petroleum engineer in several departments. In 1999, he served as superintendent of Saudi Aramco's onshore development drilling and worked as general supervisor of southern area gas engineering. From 2005 to June 2008, Al-Buraik served as chief petroleum engineer, and during this period he acted as executive director of northern area oil operations, executive director of drilling, and workover and executive director of petroleum engineering.
