50 workers evacuated after house catches fire

Braving smoke and flames, firemen brought the raging fire under control within a short time.

MAKKAH – Makkah Civil Defense evacuated 50 workers Tuesday evening after their tin house caught fire. The employees work for a dairy company located at Makkah-Jeddah Expressway.
Col. Ali Al-Muntashiri, Makkah Civil Defense spokesman, said seven Civil Defense teams controlled the fire in a short time and there were no injuries. Investigations are still going on to identify the causes of the fire and assess material losses. __
