ARCC bags Best Environmental, Safety & Health Contractor of the Year Award

JUBAIL – Al Rushaid Construction Company Ltd. (ARCC) was recently awarded the Best Environmental, Safety and Health Contractor of the Year Award, besting other services providers of the project presented by PSA 2000 Saudi Arabia Ltd., a subsidiary of Fives Solios of France - the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the Ma'aden Aluminum Company.
ARCC was recognized among other key players in the industry like Mohammed Al Mojil Group, Nasser Al Hajri Corporation, Al Khodari Sons Company, Samsung Engineering, Contractors Consolidated Company (CCC) Petro Steel Company Ltd., and INVESCO to name a few.
The award is in recognition of ARCC & PSA 2000/Fives Solios of Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company, the project management contractor of Saudi Arabia's first ever aluminum smelter at the Ma'aden minerals industry complex at the Ras Al Khair Minerals Industrial City.
Present in the awarding ceremony were Rob Mcnaught, Andre Bachman and Terry Lyons of Saudi Arabian Bechtel with Alain Grotte and Kiran Kumar of PSA 2000 Saudi Arabia Ltd. while Rodolfo Rarang, Safety Manager and Eloy A. Lascano, Group Manager for Operation from ARCC, accepted the award in behalf of the company.
In a post-celebration held in Ras Al Khair Office, Vice President & General Manager for Operations Mercado T. Magno, expressing his gratitude for the recognition, said "this award to ARCC is a proof of our continuing effort to realize our goal of completing the projects on time, safely and with quality workmanship. I salute all the great men behind this achievement."
"Each year, we recognize contractor for attaining a level of achievement that raises the bar for all of us and for the entire industry," said Michael Koch, PSA 2000/Five Solios General Manager at the award ceremony. "In the face of difficult mission to complete the project with excellent peformance both in quality and safety, the leadership of ARCC management and employees truly stood out."
ARCC is involved in civil, structural, mechanical and piping works in what will become the world's largest integrated aluminum complex expected to be completed on June 30, 2012.
The facility will also become the regional hub of the Kingdom's new aluminum industry and home of the Middle East's first and one of the world's most technological advanced, food-grade can sheet rolling mills.
Al Rushaid Construction Company, a joint venture of Al Rushaid Petroleum Investment Group (Saudi Arabia) and EEI Corporation (Philippines), provides a diverse range of engineering and contracting services, facilities, and products, including oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical processing and power generation and desalination plant.
The company with more than 18 years in the industry completed and currently with on-going projects across the region including Shuqaiq Power and Desalination Plant in Gizan, Saudi Aramco Smokeless Flare Tip Project, Qurraya Power Plant Project, National Chevron Phillips Project, Sharq 3rd Expansion Project, Saudi Aramco Manifa Project and Saudi Aramco Mobile Refinery Clean Fuels Project with more than 9,000 solid workforce in the Kingdom.
