Takaful Charitable Foundation has been founded to strengthen and support the strategic role of the Ministry of Education by supporting those whose financial position deprives them from achieving their educational dreams and goals, said Prince Faisal Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad, Minister of Education. The foundation is also aimed at ensuring an appropriate educational environment for female and male students within the family, Prince Faisal said, adding that this is not only the responsibility of the school but also includes other factors which impact upon the educational process most important of which is the students' living condition. The Takaful Charitable Foundation is financially and administratively independent from the ministry, he said adding that it is basically tasked with achieving the national strategy for social development urged by King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Prince Faisal said the foundation has been designed to meet the basic requirements for a certain group of female and male students besides providing them with all the necessary moral and financial support to enable them to pursue their education. He said the foundation's services cover all eligible students in general education who meet the criteria and conditions set by it, pointing out that the foundation believes that students are the pillars of the future development of the nation.
