Americana, franchisee of the TGI Friday's brand in the Middle East, opens its 40th restaurant in Al Majaz Park area, in Sharjah, UAE. The unit is the 11th TGI Friday's restaurant in the UAE. TGI Friday's opened its first store in the Middle East in 1996 at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road. Then it stretched its wings to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Egypt, Jordon, and Lebanon. Kuwait Food Company-Americana is now the single largest franchise group with any casual dining brand in the region. The new restaurant at Al Majaz Park area, Sharjah has 220 seats and serves a wide variety of Friday's menu items including Friday's famous steaks, (Angus Beef) Tex-Mex, pastas, burgers, chicken, seafood, appetizers, desserts and a range of non-alcoholic cocktails. Friday's caters to all age groups and is known for its great quality food served by friendly people in a fun atmosphere at affordable prices.
