Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) signed a wide-scale agreement to implement communications services infrastructure at three new planned quarters in Jeddah and Madina. The accord was reached on the sidelines of Jeddah Conference on Real Estate, Financing and Housing. The agreement includes construction of infrastructure, deploying communications services at these quarters, to support STC endeavor to modernize provided service through innovative ideas based on quality, high speed and providing customers with the best services. The agreement was signed on behalf of STC by Eng. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Qifari, STC Vice President for Network Sector. First, under the agreement, concerned Hamad Al-Mussa planned-quarter, in Jeddah on 1,722,546 sq. meters, the second concerned Saleh bin Ladin planned quarter in Madina on 176,000 sq. meters, while the third was co-signed with Abdulrahman Al-Rashid company, the developers of Al-Nur planned quarter, in Madinah on 66,769 sq. meters. STC's goal for the projects is to carry out the infrastructure of communications services in these new planned quarters in order to establish ideal quarters with no excavations, to meet the anticipations of the developers as well as the dwellers in various regions of the Kingdom, and to provide customers with the best of communications services. STC provides new houses with indoors fiber optics service to enable high speed Internet service at the households through interconnecting a house with modern and advanced optic fiber with record speeds. Meanwhile, with the springtime holiday and to meet increasing demand on Wi Fi service, STC promoted expanding the exclusive and free coverage to its subscribers to Jood savings bundles (Jood without borders). The company provided also Wi-Fi prepaid cards in three categories: (1 hour, 3-hours and 24-hours) to enable customers to access the Net, wirelessly, by scratching the prepaid card, entering user name and the password in all sites covered by the service, which could be known by visiting the e.portal: (m3acom.com.sa). STC's interest in expanding Wi-Fi service nowadays comes to meet customers' aspirations, particularly students and teachers in having the best of Internet services in public venues, places and even resorts where they spend holidays in order to stay online.
