The foreign scholarship program of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, is producing skilled graduates who are being head-hunted by government and private companies, said Prince Mohammed Bin Nawaf Bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi ambassador to the United Kingdom, at a career day exhibition in London on Monday. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) after opening the exhibition, Prince Mohammed said this was confirmed by the participation of 35 local and international companies, universities, and Saudi government ministries. He added that many male and female scholarship students have won numerous scientific awards. Prince Mohammed said that the King and the Crown Prince are determined to ensure there are skilled Saudis ready to help develop the nation's economy. At the time of going to press a graduation ceremony was held Tuesday for 4,550 male and female students for the academic year 2011/2012. Those expected at the event included Dr. Khaled Al-Anqari, Minister of Higher Education; Dr. Sulaiman Abal Khail, President of Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University; presidents of British universities; and Saudi officials in London.
