Ambassador of Pakistan Muhammad Naeem Khan met with Dr. Fahad Al-Sultan, secretary general of the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce & Industry (CSCCI), in his office on March 18. The two officials echoed the mutual warm sentiments shared by the leadership and peoples of both their countries and reviewed existing bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in the field of business and trade relations. Khan expressed satisfaction with the support and assistance the CSCCI extends to Pakistani businessmen and investors, and with its efforts to provide a conducive working environment in the Kingdom. During the meeting, it was agreed that the business communities of the two countries would receive support and would be encouraged to enhance their interactions. This is in order to explore all the avenues available for a solid, long-term business and commercial relationship. Both officials emphasized the extremely important role played by the CSCCI and the Federation of Pakistan's Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) for results-oriented business matchmaking, exchange of information and expertise, joint ventures and regular interaction of the business community through the re-energized Joint Business Council and related mechanisms in order to achieve optimum benefits for the two countries. An important delegation from the FPCCI shall visit Saudi Arabia in the last week of April to intensify the economic and trade partnership with their Saudi counterparts. Dr. Al-Sultan assured Khan that the CSCCI would provide all possible assistance for the successful interaction between the business communities of the two brotherly countries during the visit.
