Saudi prisoners in Iraq got themselves in trouble when they first listened to those who persuaded them to go to Iraq under the pretext of Jihad. These Saudis secretly crossed the border and entered Iraq with the assistance of gangs of criminals who abused them and used them for their own evil ulterior motives. Some of these misguided young Saudis ended up in prison and were tortured while others died far away from their families. Those Saudis who went to Iraq and became prisoners there not only harmed themselves, but also made their families, who were worried about what had happened to them, suffer and wonder why their sons and brothers had decided to abandon their homes and families to go to another country. Apart from the suffering of their families, these prisoners also made their country go to the trouble of searching for them and exerting great efforts to bring them back home. These young men who were misled could have saved their families and country and themselves all of this trouble and suffering if they had only listened to the voice of reason and had not fallen prey to those who encouraged them to go to Iraq for Jihad. They should have realized that the real Jihad was to take care of their families and to build their community and country and not to act against the interests of the Kingdom which cares very much about their security and safety. Our youth should learn from what happened to the Saudi prisoners in Iraq and should take this lesson to heart so that they are not duped and then find themselves in a similar difficult situation which destroys their lives and brings nothing but suffering and distress to their families. __
