The Society of Majid Bin Abdul Aziz for Development and Social Services' annual report on sustainability has received an A+ rating from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) - making it the first Saudi entity among profit and non-profit organizations to receive the distinguished global rating. Prince Mishaal Bin Majed, Chairman of Majid Society, said "to attain its achievements, Majid Society believes in the application of sustainable management as the optimal way to address social, economic, and environmental changes that may arise during the implementation stages and by observation, we can achieve a sustainable development in accordance with its plans and objectives. The A+ rating from GRI will enhance the ability to meet the challenges of retaining the rating to implement changes towards sustainable growth as part of its commitments in line with the annual achievements and strategies." The excellent rating is an evidence of the ongoing efforts and contributions of Majid Society toward development and social services. It's an international recognition of a success achieved by the application of international standards in transparency, disclosure, governance, and attention paid to human resources and talents with no discrimination. It also demonstrates the ability to address the weaknesses besides application of surveillance programs that serve as quality indicators in monitoring performance of all sectors. The Majid Society is holding its annual general meeting on Tuesday (March 13) in Jeddah. It will be chaired by Prince Mishaal Bin Majed. The general meeting includes review of the global rating, Majid Society's Leadership Award from Oman, discussion on finance plan for the next five years. followed by honoring the supporters.
