month diploma at the Vocational Industrial Institutes at the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) Jeddah were ranked as the fifth grade by the Ministry of Civil Service here Saturday. Dr. Rashid Bin Mohammed Al-Zahrani, head of TVTC Jeddah said intermediate school graduate applications would be acceptable for the institute programs. He said admissions for various courses were in progress. “A trainee in this program will receive a monthly payment in addition to a certificate that qualifies him to either join the labor market or continue his education in industrial colleges,” Al-Zahrani said. Misfer Bin Abdullah Badran, Director of Vocational Industrial Institute, said these students would get immediate admission. “Students scoring 90 percent and above will get priority on the first day of admissions followed by those with lesser percentages,” he said adding that an applicant will need to submit a true copy of his school certificate with photos and ID. The training institutes conduct programs especially designed to prepare trained professionals to fill the needs of the labor market. “Programs and portfolios in these institutes have been carefully chosen to suit the labor market demands, like auto mechanics, machinery operation, electronics, electricity programs and others,” Badran said. __
