Caroline Wozniacki ousted Ana Ivanovic of Serbia 6-3, 7-5 in a meeting of former No. 1s, after Jankovic had beaten Stosur 6-4, 6-2 Thursday. The 22-year-old Wozniacki eased through the first set and then overcame tougher resistance in the second before overcoming the Serb 1 hour, 33 minutes. Wozniacki is the highest-seeded player left in Dubai at No. 3 after top-ranked Victoria Azarenka pulled out of the tournament Wednesday because of an ankle injury. Wozniacki will play Julia Goerges Friday after the unseeded German defeated Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Earlier, the eighth-seeded Jankovic was in control throughout the match as the fourth-seeded Stosur struggled with her game. Jankovic will meet fifth-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska in the semifinals Friday. The Polish player advanced after defeating ninth-seeded Sabine Lisicki of Germany, 6-2, 6-1. Gasquet, Llodra in quarters In France, Michael Llodra of France stunned sixth-seeded Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (5) Thursday to reach the quarterfinals of the Open 13. Richard Gasquet also advanced by cruising past Igor Kunitsyn of Russia 6-3, 6-2. Vinci ousted at Monterrey Open In Mexico, top seed Roberta Vinci was ousted from the $220,000 WTA Monterrey Open Wednesday, with Russian Nina Bratchikova upsetting the Italian 7-5, 7-5 to reach the quarterfinals. Bratchikova needed only 81 minutes to advance to the last-eight where she will face the winner of a Thursday match between Hungarian sixth seed Greta Arn and Croatian qualifier Maria Abramovic. Italian second seed Sara Errani downed France's Alize Cornet 6-2, 6-3 and Romanian Alexandra Cadantu eliminated Spain's Silvia Soler-Espinosa 7-6 (8-6), 6-3 in other second-round matches.
