Four models of satellites are being showcased by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) at the Jandriya Festival. The models are some of the 12 research satellites that the Kingdom launched into space over the past 10 years. “Satellite technology puts the Kingdom to the forefront of the countries that possess advanced technology. It also boosts the Kingdom's capabilities in exchanging environmental, urban, agricultural geological and weather data,” a spokesman said. The exhibition will give visitors the chance to learn about the manufacturing and launching of satellites and their benefits to humanity. The satellites were manufactured by Saudi cadre of the Institute of Space Research at KACST.
