RIYADH – Several government departments have ignored the directives of higher authorities including Cabinet decisions while others implemented them partially, according to a recent report published by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (Nazaha).
The commission said 57 government agencies partially implemented the government directive for creating more job opportunities for women in government departments. The directive was based on a Cabinet decision No. 60, which was issued on 28/2/1430H.
In its annual report, which was discussed by the Shoura Council recently, the commission said the decision No. 237 dated 21/7/1433H on revising fees at private schools was partially implemented. It said the decision was supposed to be enforced by the Education Ministry.
The decision on mandatory insurance of government vehicles through a unified insurance policy, which was to be enforced by the Ministries of Finance and Interior, was also not fully implemented.
Nazaha also pointed out that the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs did not implement the decision No. 160 dated 20/5/1434H which was related to improving the condition of service centers and petrol stations along regional roads.
Partial implementation of decisions has occurred in all government departments. Among them are the royal directive No. 8797 dated 5/3/1434H to investigate execution of two orders related to employment.
Takaful Charitable Foundation partially implemented a government order related to providing SR476 million in assistance to the needy students. The Housing Ministry failed to fully implement an order to construct 500,000 housing units as it allocated only SR250 million for the purpose.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowment, Call and Guidance partially implemented another order related to the allocation of SR500 million to renovate mosques across the country.
