MESSAGES of congratulations are continuing to pour in for Prince Muhammad Bin Salman on his appointment as the crown prince of the Kingdom. Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Vice-President of the People's Republic of China Li Yuanchao, and British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson were among those who sent their best wishes to the crown prince on Thursday. In a cable sent to the crown prince, Prime Minister Sharif wished him all success in his missions to serve his religion and homeland. Li Yuanchao, in a cable sent to the crown prince, stressed his readiness to work with him in the next phase to enhance the momentum of the positive development of bilateral relations, support the fundamental interests and the great concerns of the two sides and accelerate the linkage between the initiative of the Silk Road and Economic Belt and the Kingdom's Vision 2030. In his message, British foreign secretary said: "The United Kingdom is linked with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with strong and long-standing partnerships, and we look forward to working together to enhance stability in the Middle East". Meanwhile, Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad Bin Saleh Al-Awwad congratulated Prince Muhammad and said: "We congratulate the crown prince for the royal trust and pledge him allegiance, praying to Almighty Allah to protect and help him to serve his religion, King and homeland''. Prince Muhammad received the pledge of allegiance as the crown prince from princes, the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom, president of the Shoura Council, scholars, ministers, official and citizens at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah. Emirs of different regions received pledge of allegiance on behalf of the crown prince from citizens and officials in their respective capitals. Riyadh Emir Prince Faisal Bin Bandar, Madinah Emir Faisal Bin Salman, Qassim Emir Prince Dr. Faisal Bin Mishal, Emir of Hail Prince Andulaziz Bin Saad, Najran Emir Prince Juluwi Bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Al-Jouf Prince Fahd Bin Badr, took the pledge. They include Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud, minister of interior; Prince Faisal Bin Sattam, Ambassador to Italy; Prince Khalid Bin Bandar, ambassador to Germany; and Prince Abdulaziz Bin Fahd Bin Turki, deputy emir of Al-Jouf region. King Salman advised them to be faithful to the religion and the country and to perform the given task with sincerity, honesty and integrity.
