The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad has expressed, in his name and on behalf of all the Ministry's employees, intellectuals and media personnel, his congratulations to Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz on the royal trust in his selection as Crown Prince, appointment as Deputy Premier, and continuing as Minister of Defense and other missions assigned to him.
The Minister said, "We congratulate the Crown Prince for the royal trust and pledge him allegiance, praying to Almighty Allah to protect and help him to serve his religion, King and homeland''.
Dr. Al-Awwad said, " We congratulate our dear Homeland on the Prince as a supporter to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for leading our country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, towards the good and security, praying to Allah Almighty to safeguard our country's security, safety, prosperity and stability.
From the British Prime Minister:
British Prime Minister Theresa May has welcomed the selection of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz as Crown Prince, his appointment as Deputy Premier and continuation as Minister of Defense.
"We look forward to deepening the strong bilateral ties between the two countries," she said in a statement issued by the British government.
She commended the deep historical relations between the two countries and the importance of the joint action in a number of fields.

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has welcomed the selection of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz as Crown Prince, his appointment as Deputy Premier, and continuing as Minister of Defense.

"Thanks to the patronage of the two countries' leaders, Chinese-Saudi relations have developed rapidly as mutual strategic trust between the two countries has been strengthened, the scientific cooperation has yielded fruitful results in all fields and the friendship has deepened between the two peoples," he said in a cable sent to the Crown Prince on this occasion.
The Chinese Vice President stressed his readiness to work with the Crown Prince in the next phase to enhance the momentum of the positive development of bilateral relations, support the fundamental interests and the great concerns of the two sides and accelerate the linkage between the initiative of the Silk Road and Economic Belt and the Kingdom's vision 2030.
He wished the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia steady prosperity and its people further rogress and happiness, and for the Crown Prince constant good health and all success.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Mohammed Nawaz Sharif has congratulated Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on his selection as Crown Prince, appointment as Deputy Premier, and continuing as Minister of Defense.
In a cable sent to the Crown Prince, he wished him all success in his missions to serve his religion and homeland, commending deep bilateral relations between the two countries.

Former Lebanese President Michel Sleiman sent a cable of congratulations to Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, on the occasion of his selection as Crown Prince and his appointing as Deputy Premier with keeping on his position as Minister of Defense.
