The Ministry of Health has shut down a private plastic surgery clinic here after a female patient died during a liposuction procedure. The decision was issued by the Medical License Administration in Riyadh. The ministry found that the center, in north Riyadh, violated work regulations by employing government employees. The clinic is situated in a center which houses other medical facilities. The ministry also found that the clinic had substandard medical services. The matter will be taken up by a Shariah health committee. The ministry said it will take harsh action against any medical facility found violating its rules.
