Consumers may soon benefit from a substantial fall in milk and dairy product prices because it appears that there may be a price war starting between the country's dairy producers. Two days ago Nadec, the dairy producer, sold its 800 ml container for SR3 instead of SR4 for one liter. The company also lowered the prices of other dairy products, according to local media reports. Muhammad Anwar Jan, Chairman of the National Committee for Dairy Producers, said that it was up to consumers to decide from which company they would buy milk and other dairy products. “The committee doesn't intervene in prices. We're concerned with technical affairs and things that serve society.” Jan said the reduction will attract some consumers who want to save money, adding that other companies might follow suit if they find this step beneficial.
