Sadafco, Al-Kabbani, Saudi and ALJ in last 4

In the Phase II Morning quarterfinals Sadafco, Al-Kabbani Cricket Group, Al-Saudi Green and ALJ Toshiba made the last four. Sadafco defeated AGA, Al-Kabbani had the last laugh against Stallions, Al-Saudi Green edged Emper Perfumes by just 2 runs and ALJ Toshiba prevailed over Nesma Holding.
Al-Saudi Green just got through by 2 runs. Al-Saudi Green piled up 188. Mazhar Abbasi hammered 75 in 40 balls with 5 sixes and 4 fours, Awais made 15, Nazeer Farooqui 19 and Faisal 16. Rabih took 3-29 and Mehboob Shabbir 2-33.
Emper Perfumes, in reply, was stranded at 186-9. Basharat scored 46, Khadim 36, Amir Shahzad 21 and Farhan 18. Munzir took 3-25, Nadeem Saad 2-25 and Mazhar Abbasi 2-40.
Al-Kabbani Cricket Group had the last laugh against Stallions by 3 wickets. Stallions posted 155-9. Asim made 46, Hassan Ali 25, Aqeel 23 and Ahsan 12. Asad Ali took 3-29 and Anwar 2-31.
Al-Kabbani Cricket Group, in response, reached 156-7 in 101 balls. Imran Qaiser hit 36, Faisal Qayyum 40, Nasir 29 and Luqman Ulfat remained unbeaten on 19. Waqas grabbed 4-37.
ALJ Toshiba won against Nesma Holding by 27 runs. ALJ Toshiba put on 209-9. Usman hammered 51 in 23 balls as he first added 46 with Amir Siddiqui (25) and then 62 with Tanveer Zamane (24). Later, Aftab scored 25 and Zeeshan 17. Saqib Butt claimed 5-31 and Jawaid 2-41.
Nesma Holding managed 182-8. Saqib Butt was stranded without partners. He smashed an unbeaten 79 in 53 balls with 9 fours and a six as he added 57 with Sheraz Butt (24). Furquan compiled 15. Basheer took 2-6.
Sadafco thrashed AGA by 7 wickets. AGA tallied 157. Kamran made 35, Muzammil 23, Tayyab 19 and Fahad 33. Abdulrehman took 2-26, Mudassir Afridi 2-31 and Mudassir Madani 2-39.
Sadafco chased down the winning target of 159 for 3 in 98 balls. Ahmed Mugheri smashed 58 in 43 balls with a six and 6 fours. He added 136 in 63 balls for the second wicket with Ali Jan Mugheri who hammered 63 in 38 balls with 8 fours after they lost Malik Nayeem for 12.
WPCA Summer event kicks off
The WPCA Summer Tournament 2017 began with two matches in the first week. Black Hawks and ATC emerged victorious in the Morning Session.
There are 24 teams participating in the Morning Session and 8 Teams in the Afternoon Session.
Black Hawks beat INMA by 28 runs. Black Hawks amassed 200-5. Awais slammed 79 in 45 balls with 2 sixes and 10 fours, Arsalan hit 32, Waqas an unbeaten 23 and Ahsan 15. Aman took 3-30.
INMA, in response, was stranded at 172-5. Safi smashed 70 in 48 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes as he added 67 with Zeeshan (18). Nazim hit 18 and Feroz 19. Arsalan took 2-31.
ATC humbled Nawayeth CC by all 10 wickets. Nawayeth Cricket Club, making debut in WPCA, crashed for just 76. Ashfaq scored 17 and Salman 14. Shahbaz grabbed 6-15 and Mukhtar 2-6.
ATC, while chasing, stormed to 77 in 33 balls without loss. Babar Mughal hammered an unbeaten 55 in 21 balls and Babar Rana an unbeaten 11.
