Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — The alumni association of Jamia Nizamia, the Old Boys Association of Jamia Nizamia (Bazme Tulba-E-Qadeem Wa Muhibban-E-Jamia Nizamia), recently organized a farewell function for its founder member Mohd Abdul Rashhed Sabri in a local restaurant here. Jamia Nizamia is one of the leading and oldest Islamic universities in Hyderabad, Sabri, who was attached to alumni association for a long time, is leaving the Kingdom soon. He was acknowledged and praised for his more than 25 years long literary and welfare services. Maulana Mohammed Naveed Afroze, who presided over the event, said: "Sabri's welfare work is praiseworthy, he always helped people in need. His hard work, dedication towards community services, and helping nature is really commendable and deserves to be followed by all." Sabri served as an architect in Prophet's Mosque in Madinah for a long time. "It is very rare that personalities exist in this world that selflessly works for humanity and Sabri is one of them," he added. Speaking on the occasion Maulana Hafiz Abdul Salam Aziz Anwari said, "Sabri has many good qualities but the one thing that's always admirable is his nature to help the needy secretly, and his countless efforts really creates devotion in hearts of others to be like him." Abdul Rashhed Sabri said the time spent in Madinah's Prophet's Mosque was the memorable moment of his life. Earlier, the program began with recitation of verses from the holy Qur'an by Maulana Hafiz M. Abdul Salam, secretary of the group. Hafiz Saleem Qadri, Syed Ahmed Raza and Syed Abubakr Qadri recited Naats. Hafiz Nizamuddin Gouri, media secretary of association, compered the event and presented shawl and certificate to Sabri. Mohd Maslahuddin Jawid Sabri, VP of education committee of the association, Syed Mohd Abdulrubb Hamid Qadri, VP finance committee of the association, Mir Muhammad Ali and Mir Ehtesham Ali were present on occasion. Shoeb Ali, Mohd Mubeen Sabri and Kaleem Sabri worked hard to make the event a success.
