Kuala Lumpur -- Malaysian defense minister Hishammuddin bin Hussein Aun and and Makkah-based Muslim World League Secretary General Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Bin Abdulkarim Al-Isa, who is also supervisor general of the Intellectual War Center, an affiliate of the defense ministry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, held here today a joint press conference to highlight the joint Saudi-Malaysian announcement to establish an international peace center in Malaysia to be named "King Salman Center for International Peace". It will be in collaboration between Intellectual War Center, the Security and Defense Center, affiliate of the ministry of defense of Malaysia, Malaysian Islamic Teachings University and the Muslim World League.
The facility will be launched in 90 days.
The Makkah-based MWL was assigned to author and enrich the intellectual and research path of the center and provide it with religious scholars to serve as yet another asset to be added to the military expertise in its intellectual and survey aspects.
They asserted that the center would be specialized on laying the foundations of peace, tolerance values, consolidate the concepts of moderation, enhance the positive profile of Islam, answer the shameful accusations, confront the ideologies of terrorism and extremism.
