RIYADH — The Indian national carrier Air India has offered a flat 50 percent volume discount on lowest fares to Indian amnesty seekers. Senior AGM Air India Kundan Lal Kothwal disclosed this on Wednesday. He said that Indian nationals availing the amnesty offered by the Saudi government and returning back to India can benefit from this discount during the 90 days amnesty period. The fares from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam to various destinations of India will be around SR500 plus taxes — from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam to Delhi SR659 and other destinations SR595. These passengers will be allowed to carry 40 kg checked in baggage from Riyadh and Jeddah, while passengers from Dammam can carry 30 kg. According to Kundan Lal under this offer tickets can be purchased from reservation offices after showing their Emergency Certificate issued by the Indian Embassy or Consulate or final exit visa issued by the Passport department (Jawazat). Abdul Rahman Saleem, president, Hindustani Bazme Urdu, appreciated Kundan Lal and Air India for launching the generous scheme for the benefit of Indian amnesty seekers, most of whom are poor labors and blue collar employees.
