Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — The visit to Makkah by an Indian expatriate family ended in tragedy. Mohammed Nadeemuddin, who worked in Saudi Fransi Bank, and his son Mohammed Hisham died in a road accident on their way back to Riyadh after performing Umrah in Makkah and visiting relatives in Jeddah last week. Nadeemuddin's wife was critically injured in the accident, but is out of danger. His other children, who are undergoing treatment in a Taif hospital for various injuries, are struggling to come to terms with the reality. The family was scheduled to return to India soon, relatives said. The fateful accident occurred in Zulm near Taif on Riyadh highway. Most of the family members were thrown out of the car due to the impact of the crash. Hisham, who is student of Middle East School in Riyadh, died on the spot and Nadeemuddin succumbed to critical head injuries in hospital. Though out of danger, Nadeemuddin's wife is not in a position to move. The family hailed from Telangana state in south India. The intersection near Zulm on Riyadh- Makkah highway is known for fatal accidents that claimed many lives. Indian commits suicide A young Indian working in Jubail committed suicide, apparently due to job-related stress and family problems, family sources said. Kunta Rajashekhar, 27, from Jagtial district in Telangana state, arrived in the Kingdom four years ago. After months of struggle, he settled down in a job in Jubail, where his father also worked. The family sources said Rajashekhar had a heated argument with his fiancee over their marriage plans because he had been delaying his travel to India due to job-related matters.
