Beckman Coulter to train and hire Saudis as part of its expansion in KSA

JEDDAH — Beckman Coulter, an international leader in developing clinical diagnostic products and solutions, is planning to open multiple new branches across Kingdom with the focus of hiring and training Saudis as part of 2017 growth strategy in Saudi Arabia.
The company is aiming to have a diversified team and have an ongoing focus on hiring and training Saudi nationals as part of our growth strategy and developing a team that will become an influential element in developing the clinical diagnostics and instrument the kingdom in an effort to support the overall healthcare sector.
According to Beckman Coulter's Managing Director, Dr. Akram Azmy, the head office of the new company will be based in Riyadh, with other branches in both of the western and eastern provinces.
He said "this will help us to reach out to a wider group of customers, to provide both pre and post sales. The new company has launched its new and modern warehouse and augmented this with a distribution network that will extend to cover all the cities of the kingdom. In addition, our plans include the establishment of state-of-the-art service center and providing a wide range of running educational activities and workshops. The company will also uses a wide network of the reputable local distributors to support the implementation of its plans."
Asked about some of the company's new innovations, Azmy said "we continuously strive to introduce new and advanced technologies, the latest of which is the newly launched Molecular diagnostic platform. This new technology is designed to change the way molecular diagnostics testing is performed while simplifying the workflow and increasing technician productivity. These are just a few examples on how we advance patient care."
He explained that the expansion plans include in addition to the opening of multiple branches across the kingdom, the establishment of local warehouses and distribution network to support our current customers. At the current stage the company will focus on building its knowledge about the needs of the local market of Saudi Arabia and understand the future needs of the healthcare society.
The company goals aligning with implementing the expansion plan is to build its regional capabilities to become locally sustainable. This will allow the company to introduce the latest technology in the field of clinical diagnostics and enhance customer relationships by providing superior pre and post services.
Azmy further said "we aim to have functional leaders in place in order to provide faster turnaround time to our customers. On a product level, our goal is to establish reference laboratories with total automation capabilities in each of the major regions of the Kingdom."
He added that the healthcare market in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the largest in the Middle East region and it is quite diversified.
"With the Kingdom Vision 2030 putting more focus on the fast growing health sector and clearly encourages and supports an increasing participation of the private sector in providing the health services, we expect this market sector to grow in excess of 10-12% per annum this makes it an attractive market to invest.
