Violet shines in JBL Teens tourney

JEDDAH — Team Violet defeated Team Yellow 75-52 in the Midget Division in the Titan Watch-JBL Teens Basketball Tournament at the Khalidia basketball court here.
Team Yellow's main man Washim Shekani was fouled out in the opening minute of the final period. Aldrin Francisco top scored with 27 points for the winner and was adjudged as the Titan Watch Best Player of the Game. Ranmhel Palad made 19 points for the loser.
This tournament is principally sponsored by Titan Watch of Al-Hussaini & Al-Yahya Investment Group (Othman Al-Hussaini) and co-sponsored by Radian Massage (Mahmoud Omer), parents and friends of JBL Teens.
The awardees in the recently concluded JBL Teens Friendly games were:
Junior Division — Bobby Mamaluba (Best Power Forward), Herian Sena (Best Forward), Mahmoud Said (Best Guard), King Acosta (Best Shooting Guard), Charles Granadino (Best Center), Justin Augustin (Most Defensive Player), Mohammed Usman (Sportmanship Award), Densen Dolloso (Finals MVP with 32 points) and Osama Brown (Season MVP).
Midget Division — Drazen Mabanta (Best Guard), Wasim Shekanie (Best Forward), Raef Dalupang (Best Power Forward), Saleh Abdulmanan (Best Shooting Guard), Omar Jerome Maano (Best Center), Ali Mamalumpong (Most Defensive Player), Frederick Angadol (Sportmanship Award), Michael Maddatu (Finals MVP with 43 points) and Adrian Francisco (Season MVP).
Team Gray scored over Team Black 68-62. Michael Madattu collected 30 points for the winner and was named the JBL Best Player of the Game. Mohammad Abdulmanan led the loser with 20 points.
Juniors Team Yellow defeated Team Green 145-144. Osama Brown top scored with 54 points for the winner and won the JBL Teens Best Player of the Game award. Densen Dolloso and Mohammed Acud poured in 60 and 51 points, respectively, for the loser.
Midget Team Green beat Team Red 56-28. Ryan Dimaro scored 12 points for the winner and was selected as the Best Player of the Game. Usman Jehar made 14 points for the loser.
