YORK provides cooling and power systems to Jeddah Int'l Book Fair
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 22 - 12 - 2016

AL Salem Johnson Controls (YORK), a leading provider of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, security systems, and controls, contributed to the Jeddah International Book Fair by providing an integrated set of cooling units and air handlers. YORK was selected among many brands to cool the fair due to its proven track record. Spanning an area of 21,500 square meters, the fair is held under the patronage of Prince Khalid Al Faisal, Emir of Makkah Region and Adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.
YORK mobilized its capabilities to operate and maintain an integrated system of cooling units and power generators at the fair, which welcomes 80,000 visitors per day. To ensure that fairgoers enjoy comfortable climates, YORK set the fair's indoor temperature at 24 degrees Celsius by installing two-ton cooling units and air handlers, 5,900-kVA power generators and cables, and 5,000-meter air hoses.
Al Salem Johnson Controls' CEO Dr. Mohanad Alshaikh said: "Winning the bid to supply the second edition of the fair with power and cooling solutions reflects Al Salem Johnson Controls' (YORK) strong track record. We are proud of our role in organizing the fair, which includes 450 publishing houses from 27 different Arab and Islamic countries".
"A YORK team of technicians successfully installed the equipment in record time, thanks to the company's ability to offer ready-to-use cooling units and provide 24/7 operation and maintenance services," he added.
Al Salem Johnson Controls (YORK) is the region's top supplier of short and long-term chillers rental solutions, which is ideal for cases of periodical maintenance, outdoor events, and in case of emergencies. Al Salem Johnson Controls also provides YORK ready-to-run cooling systems.
Major projects in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf have taken advantage of Al Salem Johnson Controls' rental services. These projects include King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Riyadh's King Fahad Medical City, Makkah's Jabal Omar project, and in the expansion of the Mataf area in the Great Mosque in Makkah.
All YORK cooling units are unique, offering high- energy efficiency with 25 percent wattage reduction, power conversion, smart control, and durability in harsh conditions; all of which are factors that make these units the first choice for households, as well as industrial and commercial sectors. — SG
