Published in The Saudi Gazette on 15 - 12 - 2016

GOURMET diners now have the chance to taste top-class dishes from the best chefs in the world in some of the most luxurious venues across the emirate. Featuring as part of the 19-day Abu Dhabi Food Festival (ADFF), the Gourmet Abu Dhabi strand is set to include three international guest chefs, two celebrity guests, restaurant promotions, culinary promotions, high tea events and exclusive themed dining experiences in the Desert, Sky and Sea.
Taking place at the spectacular Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara and set in Abu Dhabi's Empty Quarter in the Rub' Al Khali sand desert, the Desert Experience will allow diners to experience this palatial luxury resort while feasting on a gourmet dinner event. The special dinner is available on three weekends for the duration of the Food Festival, with the first dining experience that took place last weekend. The Desert Experience will continue on Dec. 16-17 and 22-23.
Combining a great meal with a great view, the Sky Experience, taking place on Dec. 17, will see critically acclaimed chef, restaurateur and television personality Graham Elliott prepare an exclusive dessert recipe for an ‘Afternoon Tea Event' post which he will be available to meet and mingle with guests. Set at the sensational Jumeirah at Etihad Towers hotel, this themed dining experience will truly hit the heights.
The Sea Experience will be a wonderful blend of world-class cuisine with Emirati culture. Diners will be taken onboard a traditional Dhow to sail across the Abu Dhabi Corniche, accompanied by some sensational fare. Taking place on December 22, the Sea Experience will set off from the Abu Dhabi Corniche. Due to limited seating, the tickets for all three themed dining events need to be booked in advance.
Spread over 19 days and taking in three weekends, ADFF will attract both residents and visitors alike to enjoy not only cuisine from some of the best chefs on the planet, but also some of most scrumptious food-related experiences available anywhere in the world today, complete with themed dinners, food trucks, live entertainment, celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, meet-and-greets, cook book signings and mall activations that will delight families, children and a broad array of food enthusiasts.
