JEDDAH — Karamat's unbeaten 128 off 57 balls with 15 fours and 7 sixes led ECU Lines to a massive 94-run win over Hyderabad Green in the opening week of the Kanoo Premier League, sponsored by Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA). Another highlight of the day was a fine all-round performance by Humayoon Farooq of Saudi Oil. He made 59 runs and took 3-20 against ARM United. Saudi Oil comfortably beat ARM United by 46 runs, Jamoom Tigers thrashed Al-Burj by 8 wickets and Ittihad inflicted a massive 81-run defeat on Jamoom Fighters. ECU Lines put on a respectable total of 186-3, mainly due to an unbeaten 128 by Karamat. He tore the Hyderabad Green bowlers apart with 15 fours and 7 sixes. Hyderabad Green, in reply, was bundled out for a paltry 92. Saudi Oil won by 46 runs over ARM United on a fine all-round performance by skipper Humayun Farooq. First he scored a stylish 59 and laer took 3 wickets for 20 runs. Jamoom Tigers raced to an 8-wicket win over Al-Burj after bundling the rival out for 125 as Amir (3-37), Saeed (2-22) and Saeed Ali (2-16) made batting difficult for Al-Burj. Later Tigers had little difficulty in reaching 129-2. Ittihad's impressive 81 runs win was led by a stylish 73 by Usman which enabled his team reach 165-4.
