Prince Fahd Bin Abdullah Bin Mohammed, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and President of the Board of Directors of Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) Company, launches the first Boeing 777-300 ER passenger plane into the service of the Saudia working fleet at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Eng. Khaled Al-Molhem, Director General of Saudia, and a number of officials took part in the ceremony. The 297-seat and long-range Boeing 777-300ER is a state-of-the-art aircraft, quieter and more fuel efficient than its predecessors. Saudi Arabian Airlines has signed a contract to buy 30 Boeing 777-300ERs.
