Swisslog strengthens status in Saudi automated warehousing
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 29 - 11 - 2016

SWISSLOG, a leading automation expert for robot-based and data-driven intralogistic solutions, strengthened its commitment to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) by participating for the first time as a launch partner at Materials Handling Saudi Arabia.
Swisslog Middle East will introduce their latest warehouse automation solutions and new picking technologies for forward-thinking customers in Saudi Arabia and the bordering region. Warehouse automation is a key factor for business growth, and Swisslog is uniquely positioned to bring innovation to its customers in this market. By implementing fully integrated, effective, future-proof automation solutions and keeping their facilities up-to-date with modernization companies can not only speed up their processes and satisfy changing customers' needs but also stay profitable by adding greater productivity into their supply chain and reducing the amount of errors.
Highlighting the company's participation and innovation in automated warehousing, Frederic Zielinski, General Manager of Swisslog Middle East commented, "We are excited to be part of one of the most prestigious global trade shows in the supply chain sector. Being an international company, we have more than 2,500 employees on board and work with business customers in more than 50 countries. This exhibition provides us with unparalleled opportunities to connect with new customers and existing partners in our endeavor to provide robot-based warehousing solutions for customers across the Kingdom."
The push in the Kingdom comes as the company enjoys strong growth with new customer wins in the region. "KSA is a very important market for Swisslog with excellent growth potential for our business. To support our expanding client base, we are committed to provide the highest customer experience and support to our customers. Being a member of the KUKA Group, a German robots provider, we enhance our capabilities now when it comes to robotics and their applications within logistics. Last year, we won a major order from Saudi Arabian food producer Almarai and we look forward to working with more businesses in the Kingdom," added Zielinski.
The company›s entry in the region is backed by the increasing demand for the company's industry 4.0 portfolio. State-of-the-art sensors, data collection methods, and optimization algorithms based on big data analyses are the cornerstones of a new service portfolio that monitors all Swisslog facilities throughout their entire lifecycle.
At the trade show, representatives at Swisslog met with attendees to discuss material handling issues and answer questions related to their challenges.
