Civil Defense teams rescued 132 people, mostly trapped in their vehicles submerged in water across the Kingdom. These included 104 cases in Riyadh, 21 in the Eastern Province, three in Jazan, and two each in Makkah and Tabuk. The rescue teams managed to get a total of 102 vehicles out of water, besides giving shelter to 12 trapped families. There was one death reported in Riyadh. In the capital city, mild to moderate rain was experienced on Sunday. Al-Ahsa municipality received 282 calls about rain water flooding over the last three days. Khaled Buwashal, spokesman of the municipality, said that emergency teams rushed to these water-clogged areas and undertook rescue operations Muhammad Al-Sufyan, director general of media and public relations at the mayoralty of the Eastern Province, said that the region received 17 millimeters of rain over the last three days.
