Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, emir of Makkah and adviser to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, held wide ranging talks with leaders of Lebanon, including President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Tammam Salam, and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri. Their talks focused on further improving bilateral relations and cooperation. They discussed issues of mutual interest as well as political developments in Lebanon and the region as well. Prince Khaled and the accompanying delegation also expected to meet Prime Minister designate Saad Al-Hariri. Aoun said that Lebanon is keen on further strengthening bilateral relations with the Kingdom. He lauded the positions taken by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman toward Lebanon. Aoun also emphasized that his country would play a positive role in serving the joint Arab causes. Following his meeting with Aoun, Prince Khaled said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that he delivered two messages from King Salman to Aoun; one is congratulating him on being elected as president of Lebanon, while the second was an invitation to pay a visit to the Kingdom.
