RIYADH — Round 3 of the SAIB T20 Tournament, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by Saudi Arabian Investment Bank (SAIB), witnessed exciting matches recently.
Huraymala League
Riyadh Fighters beat Punjab Stars by 7 wickets. Punjab Stars posted 181. Yasif made 35 and Roshan 30. Yassir picked up 4 wickets. Riyadh Fighters reached the target in 17.2 overs. Imran Butt hit 45, Omar 42 and Yassir 21. Asif Ali grabbed 2 wickets.
FAST CC downed Pak Force by 4 wickets. Pak Force tallied 219-5. Mohsin stroked 60, Kamal 45 and Amir 44. Salman Khan claimed 3 wickets and Fareed 2. FAST CC won the match in 18.3 overs as Fareed scored 70 and Salman Khan 61. Mudassar grabbed 3 wickets and Hammad 2.
Riyadh Royals edged Pak Eagles by 6 runs. Royals, batting first, recorded 207-4. Dilawar hit 90 off 53 balls. Eagles, in reply, managed 201-9. Altaf contributed 44. Shahzad picked up 3 wickets.
Kashmir Strikers thrashed Sinmar CC by 7 wickets. Sinmar CC tallied 138-6. Tila and Hamid scored 32 each. Faizan and Mushtaq bagged 2 wickets each. Strikers won the match in 14.5 overs. Sameer remained unbeaten on 50 and Ishfaq blasted 47.
Hayer League
Nouman Gymkhana beat Riyadh Panthers by 7 wickets. Panthers recorded 189-5. Nouman Gymkhana reached the target in 18.3 overs. Hafeez scored 74 and Mudassar 60.
Pakhtunkhwa Gladiators got the better of Tigers by 4 wickets. Tigers, batting first, scored 137. Shareef scored 25 and Sharaf 24. Naveed Khan took 4 wickets and Amjad Ali 3. Gladiators reached the target in 11.3 overs. Muneer top scored with 54. Shakeel grabbed 3 wickets.
Raavi CC defeated Bannu Eagles by 5 wickets. Bannu Eagles scored 193-9. Adnan picked up 2 wickets. Raavi won the match in the last over. Adnan hit 58 and Abubaker 54.
Diriyah League
Riyadh Rhinos registered its first victory against Battagram Zalmi by 66 runs. Rhinos, batting first, scored 163-8. Subair added 56. Nawab claimed 4 wickets. Battagram Zalmi was bundled out for 97. Azharuddin grabbed 5-16 and Islam Shah 3-15.
Karachi Kings beat Phoenix CC by 10 runs. Kings registered 187-3, thanks to Ajab Khan's 102. Asghar Khan also played well for his 50. Phoenix CC, in reply, managed 177-8. Haseeb Rafeeq scored 100 off 58 balls. Ali Arif took 5 wickets and Asghar Khan 3.
Afridi XI prevailed over Seham by 4 wickets. Seham registered 156-9. Kareem made 34 and Noor 33. Afridi XI won the match in 17.4 overs.
Smashers CC defeated PTI Tigers CC by 6 wickets. PTI Tigers managed 183-8. Liaqat top scored with 41. Smashers won the match in 19.5 overs. Talal scored 58 and Shakir 42.
