Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense, emphasized on Tuesday that the current challenges facing the Gulf region have necessitated more coordination. "We have also to benefit from our previous lessons and incidents while confronting the future challenges," he said while chairing the 15th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) defense ministers in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Prince Muhammad hoped that the meeting would discuss the outcome of Camp David meeting which included enhancement of military and security strategic partnership with the United States of America to achieve the stability of the Gulf region. Addressing the session, the Deputy Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, wishing the meeting every success and the GCC countries steady progress. The heads of delegations attending the meeting included UAE's Minister of state for defense affairs Mohammed Al-Bawardi; Bahrain's Minster of Defense Gen. Yousef Al-Jalahma; Oman's Minister in charge of defense affairs Badr Al-Busaeedi; Qatari Minister of Defense Dr. Khalid Al-Atiyah; and Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah.
