Crown Steel remains unbeaten in MCL

Wajid, Hammad Saeed, Saleem, Arslan and Tariq performed well in the SCC Cup 2016, organized by Madinah Cricket League (MCL) and sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC).
Crown Steel remained unbeaten in the tournament and defeated Evergreen in the last pool match. Electing to bat first, Evergreen posted 151-8 in 20 overs. Fine bowling earned Arslan, Usman and Mudassir 2 wickets each. Crown Steel hit back with a brilliant innings of 98 runs by Hammad Saeed with good support from Arslan (39 not out) and Mudassir (10). Adeel and Nissar took 1 wicket each.
In the second match, My Care & Hala batted first and made 199-5. Saleem made 76, Musawir 50 and Irfan 16. Khalid and Rafiq took 1 wicket each. In reply, Shaheen XI reached the target in 19.2 overs. Wajid played an outstanding innings of 109. Bilal made 23 and Najam 22. Musawir claimed 3 wickets, Waqas 2 and Mazher 2.
In another match, Madinah Eagles, opting to bat, collapsed to 139 in 18.2 overs. Sheraz made 34, Hashim 20 and Mohsin 13. Saleem clinched 5 wickets, Bilal 2 and Dilshad 1. Young Stars achieved the target in just 12.3 overs, losing only 5 wickets. Ismail hit 43, Irfan 25 and Abdullah 22. Zeeshan took 2 wickets, Asim and Hashim 1 each.
In the last match, Taiba XI batted first against MCH Eagle and put on 196 in 19.4 overs. Tariq scored 41, Barket 40 and Nadeem 38. Ali Malik and Usman took 3 wickets each, while Wahab claimed 2. S MCH Eagle's innings was interrupted by bad light and the team managed 154-6 in 17.1 overs. Goher stroked 33, Mahir 28 and Nouman 24. Javed took 3 wickets, Asif 2 and Ikram 1. Taiba XI won by 22 runs (D/L Method).
