Everyone's equal in the eyes of the law

A Saudi prince was recently executed for fatally shooting a Saudi man named Adel Sulaiman Abdulkareem Al-Mahmeed. Prince Turki Bin Saud Bin Turki Bin Saud Al-Kabeer appeared before a court and had a fair trial. The death sentence proves to the world that the Shariah law implemented in the Kingdom guarantees fairness and equality; there is no difference between a royal prince, a citizen or an expatriate. They are all equal in the eyes of the Shariah and nobody, no matter who they are, is exempt.
Due process was carried out to the letter, which is proof that justice is protected and will always prevail. The prince was charged with premeditated murder after he was found guilty by means of conclusive evidence of shooting the victim.
The general court sentenced him to death and the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court endorsed and approved the sentence. A group of high-profile judges in the Supreme Court reviewed the case several times before upholding the death sentence. The sentence was approved by the King, as well.
Any death sentence issued by a court will go through the same process. This is to show that Shariah principles and foundations ensure justice for all members of the public. However, many newspapers abroad have not covered the death sentence because they do not want to show the world that everyone is equal in front of Shariah
When courts in European countries issue sentences in cases involving members of the Saudi royal family, the news is given a huge deal of prominence with big headlines, even though the cases are generally related to tax evasion.
The execution of this prince is evidence for our detractors that shows that anyone who commits a crime in the Kingdom will be punished.
