The Langham Huntington, Pasadena is a luxurious getaway that reflects the beauty of classic Southern California. Earlier managed by the Ritz Carlton hotel, Langham in Pasadena is a landmark hotel that represents rich cultural history and is an influential brand name.
Surrounded by huge mountains, the location is a complete change of scenery from downtown Los Angeles and a perfect spot for those seeking some time out.
Also a popular destination for weddings and events, Langham is always packed with events catering to its sophisticated audience.
The resort was reportedly built as a guesthouse adorned with stunning art pieces and luxurious interiors, but part of it was given up to be used as a hospital during one of the wars to help soldiers. Later on it was converted into a magnificent hotel with 380 elegantly furnished rooms, suites, and cottages managed by the Ritz Carlton.
Bridges and lush gardens, oozing a European feel, connect the hotel chambers. The beautiful landscape is home to Japanese gardens and huge swimming pools.
The hotel lobby and bedroom interiors are adorned with rose gold, pink and white tones emanating luxury. Rooms offer a quiet haven and an escape from the busy city life. The hotel has a basic outlook on room interiors. The fixtures in the room and bathroom still have an old feel. The rooms are not as technologically advanced as they could be and rely heavily on the classic countryside luxury aesthetics. The way the beds are designed to the built-in closet. The rooms have handcrafted furniture, are adorned with rich textiles and signature amenities.
Balconies offers a powerful view of the mountains and lush gardens. The Langham Club level guests have access to The Langham Club Lounge for complimentary services such as all-day refreshments featuring five food and beverage presentations throughout the day. But nothing impressive.
In room dining offers great service and you can even try an exclusive range of steaks at The Royce downstairs. Enjoy their signature Langham Afternoon Tea with Wedgwood at the Lobby Lounge or a bistro menu at the Terrace.
Pamper yourself with treatments at the Chuan Spa, that are inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine with revolutionary skin care technology. For the health fanatics, Langham offers a state-of-the-art Fitness Centre as well.
You can also visit the Pasadena museum of history that boasts almost one million manuscripts, artifacts, furnishings and art. Visit the Feynes mansion that has been preserved, since the time a Pasadena family lived in it 100 years ago.
