KAMC clinches titles

The Seventy-Day Team Tennis Tournament of All Filipino Tennis Players Association ended with full of surprises and excitement in almost all categories.
As expected in B1 Category, Western Union bagged the championship by defeating Lacoste in straight three matches. Its players included Randy Martin, Elly Ramos, Jojo Aran, Rey Diega, Robert Gregorio, Tony Mirasol, Jun Miguel, Raymond Miguel, Abdallah Abdallah, George Almes and Francis Idjao.
In the Ladies Division, KAMC-Salehiya (Rowena Valenzuela, Ashley Jao, Ria Alimon, Ella Ramos, Elaine Rivera, Lilibeth Jaminal, Bernadette Bautista and Beverly Francisco) and KAMC-F.M. Thamer (Rowena Villanueva, Malou Argarin, Xenia Chan, Olive Escondo, Delcie Solon, Jhoana Dela Chica, Ria Alimon, Ashley Jao), remained back to back champion in Category C and Lower Mix Division.
It was a day of jubilation for Albilad-Isabela Team (Alfredo Arceta, Ali Jamal, Saed Fadel, Nadeem Awan, Almond Panganiban, Danny Paygane, Salman Hafiz, Hassan Mohd, Kamal Omar, Moises Capili and Agot Delas Alas) which won the championship in Category C.
In Category B2, Saudia City-Sarawat (Ronnie Santos, Ariel Regis, Akas Caibal, Henry Siason, Efren Acena, Efren Bulatao, Regie Hizon, Sol Bartolome, Sandy Dalit, Epie Dumalaon and Jun Amora) fought a grim battle for the coveted trophy.
In the Lower Mix Category, Jeddah Ranao Tennis Club (Sajid Khan Usman, Manny Cader, Kim Guro, Michael Pangandaman, Acmad Sani, Alex Yusoph, Usman Ismail, Danny Natangcop, Hata Mamainte, Deleon Dipatuan and Ken Mapandi) claimed the championship.
After the two-month long tournament the AFTPA officials and its linesmen and umpires had their knocked out Fun Day Tournament held at the tennis court of Albilad Hotel spearheaded by chairman Baltazar Dela Cruz and his partner Lito Dumas who lost to Francis Idjao and Elmer Sto Domingo 8-3. Then Gerry Nazaire and Vic Alvaran won on a tiebreaking match over Serge Taga and Randy Martin 8-7. Arnel Laparan and Edwin Potestad lost to Robert Gregorio and Agot Delas Alas also in a tiebreaking match 8-7. Conrad Matias and Jun Coraller defeated Tonton Pana and Almond Panganiban 8-3. To round it off, Johnnie Estacio and Rey Diega won over Michael Marquez and Rading Yahyah Bautista 8-3.
The Officers and members of All Filipino Tennis Players Association thanked all the participating teams, umpires and linesman who took part in this tournament which was held under the sponsorship of Western Union, Farouk Trading Distributor of Lacoste, Nivea Beauty Products, Al-Foadia Garments, Albilad Hotel and TFC the Filipino Channel. The awarding ceremony will be held at 3 P.M. on July 18 at Madina Palace Hotel. __
