Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — The Indian Social Forum (ISF) organized a blood donation camp themed "Share a Little, Save a life" in conjunction with the celebration of the 86th National Day of Saudi Arabia. The camp was organized with the cooperation of King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center here. Inaugurating the blood donation camp, Ms. Nadia Petersen (Supervisor, Blood Bank, King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center) said, "Blood donation is a noble cause and praised the readiness of the forum members to donate blood and appreciated the leadership for taking up the social responsibility by organizing the camp." She assured the support and cooperation of the hospital for such inspiring programs. Concluding the camp, Indian Consul General Mohammed Noor Rahman Sheikh said he is very much impressed by the enthusiasm and dedication of the volunteers of the forum as they are always ready to help the needy and cooperate with the Indian Consulate, whenever they require any help from them. He added that he has been seeing their spirit of volunteerism and sincerity during Haj season at the holy sites. Hassan Mustafa Mokhtar (Donor Services Recruiter, King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center) conveyed his praise and appreciation to the consul general and the leadership of Indian Social Forum for the social commitment to take up the noble cause of blood donation. Meeting the requirements of the blood bank, hundreds of generous donors turned out to donate blood which started at 8 a.m. in the morning and concluded at 7.30 p.m. in the evening. Indian Social Forum, Jeddah Central Committee President Ashraf Morayur, ISF Kerala chapter President Iqbal Chemban and other committee members expressed their sincere gratitude to the hospital staff, particularly Ms. Nadia Petersen and Hassan Mokhtar for the wholehearted support and cooperation they extended in making the camp a great success.
