DAMMAM — A video of an empty emergency ward went viral on social media showing the negligence of the medical staff. Eastern Province Health Affairs head Asad Al-Saud said the video revealed the man claiming that he walked into the hospital and found no one. The man claimed that he saw a nurse and asked her where are the staff members and he got an unprofessional reply. The nurse said they are not machines and they already are working overtime. "A man walked into Ank Public Hospital on Friday at 10:30 a.m. and found that there were no staff members to be seen. The hospital does not open during the weekend but it does receive emergency cases if there are any. The man was too quick to draw his own conclusions and took a video of the place smearing the reputation of the hospital," said Al-Saud. He also said the directorate will identify the man and summon him for questioning. "The other wards of the hospital were fully functional from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The man was being unjust in accusing the hospital and its staff members of neglect. Other patients received the treatment needed. There are surveillance cameras in the hospital documenting the incidents of the day," said Al-Saud.
