Recently held in Shanghai, Huawei showcased its strategy to serve as a platform for growth and support strong alliances that push the industry forward and promote ongoing social progress. The conference attracted more than 20,000 industry professionals from over 120 countries.
Themed "Shape the Cloud", Huawei Connect explored cloud era trends and how different industries can achieve digital transformation by adopting cloud technology and contributing to the cloud ecosystem. Delegates from Aljouf University, ALJ, Arab National Bank, Fawaz Albokair Co., HIDA, Ministry of Labor & Social Development, Riyadh Care Hospital, Saudi Electric Co., Saudi Post and others, observed the latest technology breakthroughs and best practices through 1,000 tech sessions and hands-on labs. The delegations were interested to hear how Huawei's new ICT technologies - Cloud Computing, Big Data, Geographic Information System (GIS) and the Internet of Things (IoT), enable a digital transformation and a smart society.
Ramadan Ding, CEO, Huawei KSA, said: "In line with Saudi's 2030 Vision and Huawei's commitment to support it, we were honored to host the extinguished government entities and companies from the Kingdom at Huawei Connect. We have successfully achieved our goal of sharing the knowledge, experience and providing the needed support towards the development of Saudi Arabia. We are keen to further work with our partners to implement these solutions."
The delegations were interested to hear how Huawei's new ICT technologies - Cloud Computing, Big Data, Geographic Information System (GIS) and the Internet of Things (IoT), provide the framework for end-to-end Smart City solutions. Huawei demonstrated intelligent applications to enhance municipal management, improve government services, and promote the development of industry and the people. Throughout the three-day event, Huawei showcased its strategy to serve as a platform for growth, support strong alliances and promote ongoing social progress.
On day one of the event, Ken Hu, Huawei's Rotating CEO, explained the company's aim to position itself as the enabler and driver of an intelligent world. The company will hold true to its culture of customer-centricity, focus on ICT infrastructure and provide innovative cloud technology. Throughout this process, Huawei aims to become a preferred partner that enables digital and cloud transformation.
On the third day of the event, Huawei Rotating CEO Guo Ping, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich, and Huawei Products & Solutions President Ryan Ding took center stage.
