DaVita Kidney Care, a leading global provider of kidney care services, has announced that a new kidney care and treatment clinic is now fully operational in Sabya. The center will provide dialysis treatments to nearly 130 Saudi renal patients in Jazan. "Outsourcing dialysis services is one of the greatest successes the Ministry of Health has achieved," said Dr. Ali Hakami, regional director for the Central Dialysis Committee in Jazan. "Since DaVita began its operations in Saudi, we've seen numerous improvements in care delivered to patients with kidney disease, and we are looking forward to more DaVita centers opening to treat patients in the future." DaVita Chief Medical Officer in the Kingdom, Dr. Abdulkareem Al Suwaida, said the clinic opening is another milestone for the company in the Kingdom. "The opening of a new clinic in Jazan highlights our ongoing commitment to provide access to world-class kidney care for patients across the Kingdom." The clinic is part of the Ministry of Health program in Saudi Arabia to deliver the highest quality kidney care to patients in a partnership with DaVita that began in 2014. To date, DaVita has delivered life-saving dialysis treatments to over 1,000 patients in both urban and remote areas of Saudi, improving clinical outcomes and achieving high rates of satisfaction from its patients. — SG
