Muhammad, Xi review ties

Beijing — Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense, and Chinese President Xi Jinping reviewed bilateral ties during a meeting here on Wednesday.
The two leaders led their delegations in the meeting at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing. They discussed the ways to continue strategic cooperation.
The Deputy Crown Prince left China on Wednesday after a three-day official visit.
In separate cables of thanks to President Xi and Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli, Prince Muhammad hoped that the agreements signed during his visit will help take the ties between the Kingdom and China to a higher level.

Minister of Culture and Information Adel Al-Turaifi said Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli spoke about the importance of Silk Road to China and how the Kingdom's Vision 2030 is highly in conformity with that.
Al-Turaifi said that the Deputy Crown Prince stressed that the agreements must be activated and their results seen within the next five years with the exchange of visits between ministers of the two countries.
He said that one of the goals of the visit is to brief the Saudi people on the Chinese culture and vice versa. So a cooperation agreement was signed on the translation of classic books and the formation of an emerging series in Chinese language.
Deputy Crown Prince Muhammad also met State Councilor and Chinese Defense Minister Gen. Chang Wanquan at the headquarters of Chinese Ministry of Defense.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Deputy Crown Prince received at his residence a group of Saudi students studying in Chinese universities.
Prince Muhammad expressed hoopoe that they return with sufficient scientific knowledge to serve the homeland, participate in the Kingdom's progress and be the honorable face of the homeland during their studies in China.

Saudi Industrial Cities Authority (MODON) on Wednesday signed two memorandums of understanding with the Administrative Authority for Economic and Technological Development Zones in Tianjin and the Investment Holding Company Ltd. in Tianjin (TEDA).
The MoUs concern the development and management of industrial cities in the Kingdom and to harness solar energy.
Huawei, a leading global ICT solutions provider, on Wednesday received an investment license from Saudi Arabia .
China and Saudi Arabia on Tuesday signed 17 cooperative agreements after the first meeting of a high-level steering committee for coordinating bilateral cooperation.
The cooperative documents covered politics, energy, finance, investment, housing, water resources, quality inspection, science, technology and culture.
