Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Real Estate Development and Multi Investment sectors propelled shares higher. At close of trade on Sunday, the stock benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 0.77%. The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance Co, which rose 5.43% or 2.40 points to trade at 46.60 at the close. Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance added 4.34% or 0.75 points to end at 18.05 and Anaam International Holding Group was up 3.74% or 0.65 points to 18.05 in late trade. Biggest losers included Arriyadh Development Co., which lost 2.10% or 0.45 points to trade at 21.00 in late trade. Dur Hospitality declined 1.71% or 0.40 points to end at 22.95 and Alinma Tokio Marine Co shed 1.58% or 0.30 points to 18.70. Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 112 to 32 and 25 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange. In commodities trading, crude oil for September delivery was up 2.83% or 1.23 to $44.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.50% or 1.15 to hit $47.19 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.61% or 8.20 to trade at $1341.80 a troy ounce. EUR/SR was up 0.26% to 4.1873, while USD/SR rose 0.02% to 3.7508. The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 95.68.
