JEDDAH — Holding a plebiscite is the only solution to end the Kashmir problem, said Syed Riaz Hussain Bukhari, convener of Pakistan National Solidarity Forum (PNSF). He was addressing a meeting held at a local restaurant here in response to appeal by the government of Pakistan to observe Kashmir's Accession Day and Black Day to protest against the alleged brutalities of security forces in Indian-controlled Jammu and Kashmir. Bukhari said Kashmir is the core issue between Pakistan and India and is linked to the future of peace and stability in the region. He urged the support of the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for implementing the UN resolutions on Kashmir. The meeting was attended by representatives of the leading Pakistani political parties, who included Syed Riaz Hussain Bukhari (PPP), Malik Abid (PML-N), Furrukh Rashid (PTI), Hamdullah (JUI-F), Ahmed Bashir (PTI), Ansar Ghumman (PML-N Youth Wing), Muhammad Aijaz (JI), Khalid Gujjar (PYO), Azam Khan (PSP), Nosherwan Khattak (ANP), Shamsul Haq (JUI-F) and Rao Tahir (JI). Participants expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri brothers who are fighting for their right of self determination for the last 68 years. The event ended with prayers for the martyrs and for the success of the freedom movement in Kashmir.
