LORENZO Milani was recently appointed as the new CEO of Electrolux for the Middle East and Africa region. Born and raised in a picturesque village in Italy, Lorenzo Milani combines small-town values with decades of international business experience. After graduating Economics cum laude and top of his class at a prestigious Italian university, Milani worked in sales and marketing all over the world. His obsessive curiosity and keen enthusiasm for creating products helped him distinguish himself in markets as far afield as North America, Eastern Europe as well as throughout the Middle East and Africa. However, Milani's interest in helping people goes beyond white-collar boardrooms. In order to truly understand what it means to serve others as one's sole scope in life, Milani spend time in Africa working as a humanitarian missionary, focusing on a variety of initiatives to help alleviate poverty. His obsessive curiosity, marketing savvy and inspired leadership are guided by his passion to add value and meaning to as many people's lives as possible. In his new capacity as Electrolux CEO, Milani's guiding principle is simple: enduring success is built on partnerships – partnerships with colleagues, investors and above all with customers. He achieves this by "working for day-to-day results to permit the company to invest; designing the strategy to be able to know where to invest and; creating an excellent team to execute the strategy." Electrolux is a global leader in home appliances and appliances for professional use. Constant research into consumer behavior allows Electrolux to create thoughtfully designed, innovative and sustainable solutions that are developed in close collaboration with the people that use them.
