A traffic patrol team came under attack on Friday early morning, killing security official Faisal Al-Harbi, in Saihat, Qatif in the Eastern Province. Security spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said in a statement that a traffic patrol came under fire from an unknown source while performing its duty at around 1.45 a.m. on Friday. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of Al-Harbi, the spokesman said adding that the security authorities are investigating the terrorist crime. It was the latest attack in Saihat, where a gunman killed five people at a meeting hall last October. In January, gunmen shot dead two policemen escorting a truck used for transporting cash. In April, one policeman was slightly injured when a small bomb exploded outside a highway patrol station in Al-Ahsa in the Eastern Province.
